Sometimes negative events can also result in ultimate positiveness


Sometimes we do feel so much stressed if a simple negative event happened in our lives. But, most of the times we don’t realize that everything happens for a reason that we might not be aware of.

For example, like you can see in the image, anyone those who love nature, in the beginning of the time when road was made, could have thought so negatively that humans are cutting tress and making roads in between a beautiful forest. When compared to the size of the forest, the road size is negligibly small. Even then, we often consider it a negative event and get stressed about it.

As the time passed, somewhere fire started in one side of the forest and it burned down all the trees in that side till the road. And, it couldn’t cross the road because of no fuel in between. And, a simple negative event of cutting few trees has resulted in the ultimate saving of half of the forest which could have burned because of the fire if there is no road in between.

From this, we can assume that not every negative event we come across is bad in our lives. Sometimes, few negative events happen to save us and bring ultimate positiveness in our lives, which we might not be aware of. Sometimes, what we see is comparatively very small than the things that we cannot see. That’s why we shouldn’t dwell upon small negativities in life, and just move forward optimistically for a happy and positive life.


How to get out of hyper emotions

Being emotional is very common and we can find it in everyone’s life at some point of time. Being emotional is always welcome because it is what differs us humans from other species. However, some people tend to be less affected by those emotions and some tend to be deeply affected by those emotions. The difference could be because of their experiences in life which triggers them to get stuck in their annulus of negatively perceptive thoughts or it’s the way they were born.

Whatever may be the reason, it’s always harmful to be hyper emotional as it often leads to depression and sadness. So, here I’m trying to list out few things based on my experiences, which could help to make you think of coming out of hyper emotions.

Accept tragedy as a part of life:

One thought always comes into my mind regarding this. People or situations in life makes a person cry sometimes in life, whereas onions do it every time whenever we cut them. But, I haven’t seen anyone complaining or showing grudge against onions, instead they praise it for adding taste. At that point, I just feel like “What the heck did onions do so great for people to show such a biased reaction!!”

Jokes apart, now coming to the situation, even those situations or people who makes us cry are also like onions. They might make us cry in that instant, but, they are also helping us in becoming strong to face much harder situations in life. And, I personally feel, “A life without sadness is not a life at all”. One has to experience it and learn from it and move ahead into happiness. Only then, we can find the life much more beautiful. When we can praise a small onion for adding taste, why can’t we accept those situations or people who are adding taste to our lives? Think about it.

Change of Perception:

Many of us laugh a lot while watching Charlie Chaplin shows or Mr. Bean shows, however, in every show the fun is primarily pointed out at their tragedy situations. The more the tragedy is, the more we are laughing at it. But, when it comes to our own life, the same situations are letting us feel hurt and embarrassed and making us cry.

In such a situation, everything remained same except our perception. That means, it’s not the tragedy that’s really hurting us, it’s our own perception that’s hurting us. We often feel that situations are making us cry, but, we fail to understand that our response to those situations are actually making us cry. Those people who can make a good perception often takes tragedies in a challenging way and stay positive. But, some tend to take it as a burden and end up crying. I don’t say crying or being emotional is bad, but, anything more than needed is always bad. One has to change their inner perception first.

Also, if a person is making us sad, just give a thought to check out their intention. If it is nowhere related to hurt us, it’s we who are getting into negative perceptions. Instead try to understand and judge the situation wisely before losing relations because of all such hyper emotions.

I once heard a famous life coach saying a tip to stay happy all the time. It’s a funny tip,  but, worthy to share.main-qimg-051b8b1c1a367a89623091a9c31e6c1d When you don’t have a problem, you can always stay happy. In case, if you do and you can solve it, then also you can stay happy. If you have problem and you can’t solve it in any way possible, why do you need to worry about it even, it’s already out of hands. Whether you stay happy or sad, you cannot solve, instead be wise and chose to be happy.

Exploring many a thing in life:

Finally, to come out of the annulus of continuous negative thoughts and emotions, we have to involve ourselves in exploring any other things of life. For example, we can involve in our hobbies and become experts in them. We can hang out with friends or we can go out and explore nature. Or we can do any other activity that makes us smile. While we try to involve in some other activities, it feels a bit difficult in beginning, but, when you give your best, it will gradually go away.

A doctor always suggests in removing an infectious part in our body so that there won’t be any damage to our lives. And, we too agree without any further thought because we want to live. And, hyper emotions are also like such infectious parts which we have to give up in order to live happily, or else they will destroy us completely in every way possible.

Best ways to find beauty of life by virtue of happiness

“What does happiness really mean and how to find it?” Answers for these questions differ from person to person. There is no common definition for happiness. For suppose; you may feel happy if you visit new places, and some other person may feel it when he dance or sing a song.

Finding happiness is not that much difficult as swimming an ocean at a stretch. And, there are some possible ways to feel it to enjoy the beauty of living.grass_happiness_flowers_girl_meadow_69991_1920x1080

To be happy, getting rid of sadness in adverse conditions is needed. If we know the causes of sadness, we can practice healthy habits to overcome it to find true happiness in life.

One may feel sad because of many reasons. But one common standpoint for all those reasons is, not accepting the situation when it is adverse. For suppose, if we go through some adverse situation, many of us start blaming the fate or worrying about the situation and a few accept it in the way it is. Acceptance doesn’t mean to forget the situation. First of all, accept the situation in the way it is, because changing past is not possible. Accepting the situation reduces the level of tension so that a best possible solution can be thought of, where there is a chance to change the situation. In cases where there is no chance to change it, acceptance will help in maintaining inner peace.

Accepting a situation is not so easy in all the cases. For example, acceptance in case of losing a mobile phone is different from that of a mother losing her child. In the second case, it is very difficult to accept, but not impossible. And, there is a practical way called “Auto suggestion” which helps our mind in accepting almost all situations.

Psychologically, our mind is divided into two, one is conscious mind and the other one is sub-conscious mind. Conscious mind controls our actions and sub-conscious mind controls our habits and emotions. A conscious effort in a continuous manner gets registered in sub-conscious mind. For example, while learning a car, we do use conscious efforts in the beginning like looking the gear rod while changing a gear or looking at brakes while applying. But, once after making continuous efforts, we just see the roads and rest of the things we do unconsciously, i.e. without seeing at gear rod or brakes each and every time. This happens because, that continuous effort got registered in sub-conscious mind. Now, coming to the auto suggestion, it is nothing but repeating a positive affirmation continuously till it registers in our sub-conscious mind. For example, in case of our example of losing a child; if the mother continuously thinks of getting normal again by thinking about her current life and her family well being, she can accept the situation much faster when compared to the normal case.

There are some points that are to be kept in mind while making an auto suggestion. An auto suggestion should always be a positive affirmation. Why to make a positive affirmation? Reason is very simple, if I say “Don’t think about devil”, the immediate image that comes in your mind is of the devil, isn’t it? Instead, if I say “Think about God”, you will get an image of God. In both cases, we are getting an image of the subject matter, because our sub-conscious mind can’t differentiate between positive and negative. Next one is; an auto suggestion should have a goal to accomplish. Because, we have to continuously think of accomplishment of our future goal while repeating affirmations. Finally, there should be a regular conscious effort without giving up. And, the best time for making auto suggestions is early in the morning immediately after waking up and just before sleep. Because, our mind will be in little trance stage in those times and it is easy to register anything in sub-conscious mind in trance stage. In addition to that, repeating at regular intervals during the day is also needed.

In order to accomplish a task, here it is accepting a situation, patience is needed. Meditation is the best way that I suggest for patience. How does meditation help in getting patience? The reason is very simple, regular meditation helps the mind to become calm. Also, it helps to control anger.meditation How to do meditation? It’s a simple process, but needs a bit practice. First of all, sit in a comfortable position with your spine straight, because there should be a proper flow of blood and air. Then, simply close your eyes and stop thinking. The problem that many people go through is that they cannot control thoughts. But, there is a way to control thoughts. If thoughts are coming in our mind, don’t try to control them because the more we try to control, the more thoughts we will get. Just observe them, but don’t interact with them, soon the thoughts will disappear. Whatever may be the number of thoughts, continue the same process. There will be a huge number on the first day, but, gradually the number comes down. Auto suggestions at the time of meditation will have a very positive effect. It’s very easy to combine these two, first start meditating and after stabilizing the thoughts, we have to give auto suggestions and then again meditate.

Whatever may be the task, do it with utmost passion. Try to enjoy simple things in life. If there is a passion in finding life in each and every moment, we will not feel difficulty in facing problems. In fact, we can have great experiences in solving those problems. How to be so passionate in every task? Again, my answer is auto suggestions.

In order to accomplish all the above points, positive thinking is a must. We can’t see positive change when we have a negative mindset. Positive and negative are two sides of a coin, which means, whatever maybe the thing or whoever maybe the person, there will be positive and negative in them. Finding good in something or someone is like digging for diamonds, while digging for diamonds, you need to remove tons of dust to find grams of diamonds. In the same way, you have to see that good part by leaving bad of it.

 A regular practice of all these points will help in finding the beauty of life.

Life always gives two choices everywhere, “Yes” or “No”. Happiness is also a choice, it depends on the decision whether we choose it or not. Let’s have a small thought provoking question. Gautama Buddha was born in a royal family and he don’t know what suffering is, but, he was not that much happy until he found his inner happiness under the peepal tree. What made him that much happier, which he could not find in palace? Try to think of it once, so that you may find some valuable answers…..

Message of a Wise Monk

lord-buddha-statue-hd“Once there lived an old monk on the bank of River Ganges. He was a very wise monk and he had some disciples too. One day while he was in meditation, one of his disciples named Aswath came to him. Aswath waited for some time as the monk is in deep meditation. After half-an-hour the monk opened his eyes and saw Aswath.

Monk: My dear Aswath, you look so perplexed. What’s the reason?

Aswath: Guruji, today morning I had a quarrel with Vignesh. After that incident, my mind lost its peace.

Monk: Is that the reason for your arrival here?

Aswath: Guruji, not just for that. I came here to ask you something more important than that.

Monk: Tell me dear, what is in your mind?

Aswath: You always look so peaceful and happy. How can you do that? Would you please teach me that technique?

Monk: Okay Aswath, before that I would like to tell you a story.

The Story:

“Long time ago, there was an emperor named Vikram. He was a cruel king and he fought so many battles to acquire more and more wealth. Even after earning so much wealth, he could not attain inner peace.

One day, he went to a forest for hunting animals. While following a deer, he lost his path in the forest. He wandered here and there almost for 4-5 hours in that dense forest and then reached a tribal area. By that time, he was completely exhausted. There the people saw him and welcomed him with grace. They understood his situation and gave him so many fruits and water. After eating them, he gained some energy and started to see in all directions. He noticed happy and cheerful faces all around. He couldn’t understand the reason how they were so happy even if they don’t have any facilities and wealth there. In the meantime, the chief of the tribal arrived and he wished the king in a very polite manner and asked him to come with him. Even though the king have no idea of what is happening, he obliged the words of the chief as he felt very much comfortable in the tribal company. He took him to an old sage who sat under a banyan tree. Then the chief took his blessings and left.

Then the sage inquired the king about the reason for his arrival. The king explained the whole story.

Sage: Dear king, your problem is a very simple one. My people know every path in this forest, they will lead you to your kingdom.

King: I am grateful for that. My mind has lost into different thoughts, would you please help me?

Sage: For sure, I will help. What is bothering you?

King: I have so much wealth and I am king of so many kingdoms. But, I never attained inner peace in my life. How could these tribal people live so happily? What is the reason behind their happiness?

Sage: Dear king, the answer to your question is a very simple one.

These people believe that each and every one of them  belongs to the same family. They love each other and they help each other all the time. They trust each other and they never fight with others. They treat everyone with love. They might not know whom you are, but they saw you hungry, so they satisfied your hunger happily. Till now you thought wealth could attain you happiness, but, in fact wealth alone can never give happiness to anyone. These people may not have wealth, but they have nature for them to give their food. They do friendship with animals, even they treat the animals with love. That is the reason behind those happy faces.

After listening to the sage words, the king understood the real reason behind happiness. Then, he reached his kingdom with the help of the tribal people. After that day, he changed his complete nature and started to treat everyone with love. He spent most of his wealth for the people’s welfare and attained his inner peace through love. He won hearts of all people and he became one of the most successful emperors.”

Monk:   Dear Aswath, how was the story?

Aswath: The story cleared all my confusion. Thank you Guruji for teaching me the reason behind happiness.

Monk: So, you understand the reason now. From the story, there are some morals to be learnt:

  • Wealth alone won’t give happiness, so never get struck in the clutches of earning without helping anyone.
  • Treat everyone with grace and love

If you follow these, you could live peacefully and happily throughout your life.

Believe in yourself to build your golden future


In order to make an impossible into possible, one should have strong belief in their abilities. Believing in oneself is the first step for a happy and successful life. We have to do it because we are the only ones who can build each and every second of our golden future, no one else do that for us.

To believe in our capabilities, we should overcome fear. It is very easy to say, but, it is not so easy when it comes to overcoming it.  Here is a practical way in which one can overcome it.

For example, we don’t get fear if we have to go into a swimming pool, in fact we enjoy it. But, if we have to swim in an ocean, we will definitely get fear because; one needs lots of struggle to survive. What is causing fear here? Is it water that we fear for?

riskFear don’t come because of the actions that we perform, in fact, it comes because of our constant negative thinking about the outcome of that action. First of all, before going to perform some action which causes fear, make a list of the outcomes that arise from it.  Then, make an estimation of the probability for positive and negative outcomes. If the chances for negative outcome are more, then make backup plans for facing that negative plans & check the probability of facing the outcome again. Repeat the process until the positive outcome becomes dominant. In some cases, we will have no backup options. In such cases, one has to try till the end and also, should not lose hope till the last minute.

In addition to that, we should always have “Can do” thoughts. It is not so important whether people listen to our words or not, but the fact is, it is we who will listen to each and every word that we speak. So, we must be careful in choosing our thoughts, because we should not expect beautiful flowers by planting grass.

Also, one should understand the fact that every successful person has a failure story. One should not fear in making attempts to reach a higher goal, because one cannot build a beautiful palace, if he is afraid of laying bricks.



One should change himself before changing others


It is quite common that we come across many people who always blame others fault, for not having a better world to live. But, one has to think of the fact whether he himself is contributing to that or not?

Once, a lady went to Swami Vivekananda and told him that her son eat lots of sugar everyday and she requested to change her son by his words. Then, Vivekananda asked them to come after 4 days. After 4 days, she came with her son, and Swamiji explained the bad effects of eating more sugar to the boy and asked him to stop consuming more sugar, for which the boy agreed. Before leaving, that lady asked him the reason behind asking them to come after 4 days. Then, Vivekananda explained, “Actually, I too have a habit of consuming more sugar. If I don’t change myself, I am not eligible to ask someone else to change. That’s why I asked for 4 days time.”

Change don’t come just because of outer forces, it should come from within. Unless we change ourselves for a cause, we can’t see change. For example, everyone needs trees for shade and fresh air, in such a case, we ourselves have to start planting and protecting trees. Then only, we can motivate others also.



Always learn like a baby if you want to learn something new

Because, babies are the best learners. Just think of our childhood days once,  while learning how to walk and speak, we did so many mistakes and fell down so many times. But, did we stop walking and speaking?

If we fall once, we cried for sometime and again tried to walk, but didn’t give up. We all have that zeal to learn when we are kids, but it’s just vanishing when we grew up. The reason is we started to think of what others say if we do something, which we never thought when we are kids.

If you really wanna learn something new, then don’t think of others perspective. Be a baby again and learn…



Failure is the best teacher for success

One cannot enjoy light, if he don’t know darkness. Enjoying sweet is difficult, if a person don’t know bitterness. In the same way, one can enjoy success only after facing failure.
